Certificates, Diplomas, and Microcredentials: Certification in Language Education

Certification is an important part of learning a language to be able to demonstrate one’s language proficiency to employers or educational institutions. In this session we will explore established routes of certification of language learning as well as newer avenues such as microcredentials, exploring their strengths and weaknesses and the opportunities and threats associated with each.
